Remember those “nature versus nurture” debates? \u00a0The ones that ask, are we who we are because of our genes or because of our upbringing and environmental conditioning.<\/p>\n

Scientists have found it helpful to study twins who were separated at birth and raised in different environments. \u00a0That way, you can isolate differences brought about by how one is raised.<\/p>\n

But this post is not about nature versus nurture. \u00a0It is about:<\/p>\n

To wear a seat belt or not.<\/h1>\n

There are those, especially the young, who\u00a0feel invincible. \u00a0There are those, especially the elderly, \u00a0who are too proud and don’t want to go about clumsily strapping a seat belt.<\/p>\n

Then there are those who recognize that crashes can happen and yet feel that, in the event of an accident, it would be better not to be “trapped” in one’s seat. \u00a0They couldn’t be more mistaken!<\/p>\n

We have videos that prove it. \u00a0Just as in the case of twins with the same genes but dealing with a different environment, we have two people in the same vehicle dealing with the same impact. \u00a0The difference is that one is wearing a seat belt and the other isn’t. \u00a0It is not gruesome, so go on, take a minute to watch it.
