My brother-in-law is looking for a bride.\u00a0 When I found out, I naturally told him about Jodi365.\u00a0\u00a0\u201cBhabhi<\/em>,\u201d he protested, \u201cit\u2019s not as if I am having a hard time finding someone.\u00a0 I may be 32, but that is also not a problem.\u00a0 The problem is that I don\u2019t know if I am ready for marriage yet.\u00a0 And I don\u2019t want to marry just to make my parents happy.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI understand,\u201d I said, \u201cand am not going to try to change your mind about marriage.\u00a0 Let me just tell you some of the things I love about being married.\u201d\u00a0 My husband joined us by this point and said, \u201cI\u2019ll see what I can add to that!\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cOkay, when you are in love, you are happy and feel like smiling all the time.\u201d<\/p>\n

My husband added, \u201cBut there will be testing times along the way and one test will be when you have to greet all the people at your wedding.\u00a0 You will end up smiling so much that your cheekbones will hurt!\u201d<\/p>\n

I gave him a knowing look and continued, \u201cWhen you are married, you feel more secure, knowing that your partner will always be with you.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cBut forget about having a glass of beer alone at a bar, because she will always<\/em> be with you!\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cOuch!\u201d I said, even though I was guilty as charged.\u00a0 Still, since it was all lighthearted bantering, I continued: \u201cYou get a \u2018license\u2019 to make love to your special someone anytime you want.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cYes, but that license comes with an invisible price tag: your freedom!\u201d<\/p>\n

Sensing my growing impatience, my husband offered a point instead of a counterpoint: \u201cOn the brighter side, you do get an alibi occasionally.\u201d<\/p>\n

At which point, I<\/em> countered, \u201cBut transferring blame on your spouse doesn\u2019t work all the time.\u00a0 It might even backfire badly!\u201d<\/p>\n

The last word belonged to my husband, though, who repeated a Hindi saying, \u201cLook, brother, marriage is the kind of sweet that people regret whether they\u2019ve eaten it or not \u2026 so, you might as well eat it and then regret it!\u201d<\/p>\n
