What is jodi365.com?

jodi365.com™ is a quality matchmaking site that helps people find a match for all seasons of life™. We especially cater to educated, independent individuals and their families.
The name derives from jodi, which means match, pair, or couple in a number of South Asian languages.

 

Do we really need another matchmaking site?

Sure, there are more matrimonial and dating sites than we may care to keep up with.  However, most of the existing matrimonial sites are arguably little more than glorified databases of bio datas, whereas effective matchmaking is more than exchanging such bio datas.  Popular social-networking sites may provide additional insights into a person's interests, but they are not really suited for serious matchmaking.

We created jodi365.com because we saw the need for a different kind of matchmaking site, and we describe the site as a unique, innovative combination of tradition and modernity.  To learn more about the story behind the founding of jodi365, please read our founder's essay.

As we like to say: We are not the typical matrimonial site; we are not a frivolous dating site, either.  We are different in that we believe:

How do I sign up?

I have signed up.  What next?

You will receive a near-instant e-mail confirmation once you sign up for an account.  Within days, we will send you another e-mail with information on how to activate your user account.  Once you have activated your account, you may go about creating a profile and get matched with suitable prospects.

We are currently in beta.  In the coming weeks and months, we will gradually open up our full site to users and roll out our service across locations in India, the U.S., Canada, the U.K., southeast Asia, the Middle East, Australia, and other countries with sizable South Asian communities.

I am having trouble with the sign-up form.  What should I do?

Our sign-up form (http://www.jodi365.com/user/register) requires JavaScript to be turned on in your web browser.  (JavaScript is a programming language that is used in millions of web sites to validate online forms.)  If your browser does not support JavaScript or it is not turned on, then you will not be able to see additional help text and error messages that are generated in real time as you make your way through the form.

Please check your browser's Help section for how to turn JavaScript on.  You may need to upgrade to a more-recent, more-secure version of your browser.

I submitted the sign-up form, but have still not heard from you.  How come?

We apologize if we unwittingly kept you waiting or wondering about next steps.  Possible reasons for your not having received a response from us include:

  • In your sign-up form, you may have mistakenly provided us with someone else's e-mail address.  If this may be the case, please write to us through our Contact us form; we will gladly set up an account for you.
  • Our system may have sent out an automatic sign-up confirmation e-mail, but that message may have got tripped up by an over-zealous spam filter at your end.  Please look in your Spam or Junk Mail folders and, as necessary, "whitelist" our e-mail address to ensure our notification e-mails are not mistaken for junk mail by your e-mail service provider.
  • In rare instances, a network outage somewhere along the path between our e-mail server and yours could have simply delayed the delivery of our confirmation e-mail.

 

How much does it cost to join jodi365.com?

You can create a profile for free.  You can also initiate communications with other users for free.  Naturally, users who subscribe to a membership plan will avail of additional benefits.  However, we also plan to offer "pay as you go" plans to keep our services affordable to more users.

FreeElective, the parent company, is privately-held and well-funded.  We are pleased to be attracting interest from institutional investors, but our focus in the near term is on rolling out a truly remarkable site and getting more people excited about what jodi365.com has to offer.

 

What do you mean by "nurture and celebrate relationships"?

We are not here merely to help people find a Mr. or Ms. Right Now.  We are here to help people find and cherish their true match – through good times and bad times, for better or worse, in sickness and in health, for richer or poorer … indeed for all seasons of life!
