About this job:

We are looking for a creative animator/Flash designer for a paid part-time internship in visual communications. The ideal candidate will have a proven record of developing Flash animations and multimedia applications that are aesthetically pleasing and impactful.

The work would be at FreeElective Network’s office in the heart of Chennai, a few miles from the IIT-Madras campus. The position represents a terrific opportunity to work in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment, especially for someone who is excited about seeing their work get used and appreciated by thousands of users on a daily basis. Responsibilities:

Generate original ideas and translate complex concepts into clear visual representations and devise creative solutions to meet marketing objectives
Create high-quality Flash-based animations, cartoons, illustrations, videos, and other multi-media applications, from concept to story board to development to production
Collaborate with other creative, development, and agency team members
Assist management team in ensuring efficient progress of workflow and transforming business visions into reality

Qualifications:

Requirements:

Strong creative problem solving skills and the ability to visualize and articulate the big picture in a project
Proficient in graphic/multimedia creation and manipulation software, especially Flash, Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects or Motion, and Premiere or Final Cut
Solid experience in designing high-quality animations/multi-media applications, ranging from conceptual development to execution of creative assignments

Preferences:

Experience with or demonstrated passion for consumer-facing, interactive web sites/applications
Experience with video production and editing would be a plus
Bachelor's degree in fine arts, graphic design, visual communications or related field

Willingness to learn, switch roles as necessary, and to roll up one's sleeves to get a job done
