We especially cater to educated, quality singles who are serious about finding a match.

We are a well-funded, privately-held company, backed by a seasoned group of entrepreneurs and advisors. We are growing and have a number of internships and job openings at our Indian subsidiary, FreeElective Network Pvt. Ltd., based in Chennai.

About this job:

We are looking for an enthusiastic, energetic, and social-media-savvy individual for a paid part-time internship in social media. The intern will play a key role in executing our social-media efforts across a variety of channels, including Facebook, Twitter, Orkut, and blogs. The internship calls for about 10 hours of work a week, spread out evenly over the week, and may be done remotely.

The position represents a terrific opportunity to work in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment, especially for someone who is interested in a career in social media or marketing. If you think your particular skills and experience would add to our team, we would love to hear from you.

Responsibilities:

Work closely with the management team and the Community Manager on brand messaging across social media
Syndicate, share, and post engaging content across the web, using a variety of social-media channels
Increase jodi365's social-media presence through conversations with current and prospective customers
Track, measure, and report on day-to-day mentions of the jodi365 brand across social media, and feed analytics, trends, and customer feedback information back into the organization
Brainstorm on additional ways to increase inbound links to jodi365 landing pages and organically improve search engine optimization (SEO)
Assist management team in ensuring efficient progress of workflow and transforming business visions into reality

Qualifications:

Requirements:

Demonstrated interest or experience in marketing, analytics, journalism, communications, public relations, or related fields
Sound working knowledge of all major social media channels (Facebook, Twitter, Orkut, blogs, etc.)
Excellent reading comprehension and written communication skills (English)
Ability to excel in a metrics-driven environment
High-school graduate

Preferences:

2+ years experience with social media, whether through work, internships, school, volunteer roles, or personal interests
Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office programs

Desired soft skills:

Team player with strong analytical and project management skills
Organized and detail-oriented individual who works well with deadlines
Willingness to learn, switch roles as necessary, and to roll up one's sleeves to get a job done
Self-starter with the ability to work independently in a fast-changing environment
Energized by the opportunities and challenges of working at a small and growing company
